In addition to incredible presence, he has extreme athleticism and a terrific work ethic. His overall smoothness, elegance and great substance (8" bone) accompany very smooth, correct, natural movement and an awe-inspiring neck. 'Jave' is truly the 'versatile Arabian.' He began his show career in western pleasure, with 2nd place in a large, competitive stallion class at Scottsdale (his very first show). He went on to a Regional Top Five as a Jr. Horse, then earned a Regional Championship, Reserve Championship and Top Five in Hunter Pleasure and English Sidesaddle. He has really excelled in the Sport Horse arena, becoming Canadian National Champion SH Show Hack and US National Reserve Champion SHIH in the same year. He has numerous Regional Championships, Reserve Championships and Top Fives in SHIH (always scoring 81 or better), SH Under Saddle and SH Show Hack, and last year won a Regional Reserve Championship in Dressage Training Level in his first ever dressage show. But 2010 has been a banner year for Jave. He was a quintuple Region V Champion this year, winning Training Level, First Level, SH Under Saddle and SH Stallions In-Hand (both Open and ATH), with a Reserve Championship in SH Show Hack. At Region IV, he was Champion in First Level and SH Show Hack, with Top 5's in SH Stallions In-Hand (both Open and ATH). He will be competing at the Nationals in Nampa in September in all six events. Jave has earned his Legion of Excellence and is just a few points shy of the highly coveted and rarely earned Legion of Masters. His sire, the Varian-bred Sundance Kid V, has sired countless National Champions, Top Tens and Regional Champions. In 2009 Sundance sired more National Champions in Hunt Seat and Western Pleasure than any other living stallion. Some of his national winning get include 4-time National Champions Melody V and VJ Berryance, and 2-time National Champions May Dancer V and Sunsational Kid. Jave's dam, beautiful Sanadik El Shaklan daughter Calika V, is an outstanding producer. Five of her eight offspring have earned a Canadian National Top Ten, three Regional Championships, a Regional Reserve Championship, seven Regional Top Fives and multiple show championships. An Aristocrat mare, she herself was a multi-champion halter winner. Though most of Jave's get are still young and yet unshown, his half-Arabian son Rendition DL was Regional Champion SHIH as a 2-year old, and his daughter Mojave Jewel (x Shaklans Treasure) will be making her debut in Western Pleasure Jr. Horse later this year.
