In very limited showing in 2011, he twice has been named champion sport horse stallion in hand with very high conformation scores and Region 12 Top 5 Sport Horse Stallion.  His pedigree is invaluable as he comes from the breeding program of the Eschers of Gestut Rothenberg in Germany, one of the most successful breeders of straight Egyptian horses in Europe, whose horses have won major titles in Europe and the Middle East. The Eschers have always emphasized breeding horses that are excellent Arabians, regardless of color, so Maatin's black color is a bonus added to his excellent conformation and breed type. Maatin is currently in professional dressage training and will make his under saddle debut in 2012. His trainer is incredibly impressed with his trainability and willingness to work, and feels he has potential to excel at the upper levels of dressage.  At 15.2 hands and growing, *GR Maatin possesses incredible bone, large joints, and correct conformation.
